What is Drive Standard Garage?

Do I need an account?

Browsing is open to everyone. You need a free account to post car builds, rigs and deal listings, to comment, rate or bookmark, and to save FOV profiles.

How do I set up my profile?

Open your profile and fill in your display name, experience level, simulators and platform. Everything on your public profile is optional, and you choose what is visible to other members.

How do I post a car build?

Go to Car Builds and use the submit form. Pick the simulator and car, add your build name and version, then fill in the setup details you want to share. You can save it and keep editing later.

Why do the build detail fields change between simulators?

Each simulator exposes different tuning options, so the form shows the fields that actually exist in the sim you picked — gearing and Forza PI for Forza, setup sheets for ACC, Le Mans Ultimate and AMS2. Anything you leave blank simply is not displayed.

Can I edit or delete a build after posting it?

Yes. Open your build and use Manage, or find it from your profile. Deleting a build also removes its comments and ratings.

What do GGD Tested and GGD Approved mean?

GGD Tested means the build was driven and covered on Go Gear Drives. GGD Approved is the higher green seal for builds that earned the channel's seal of approval — approved builds are also tested, so only the green seal shows. Both are applied by staff only.

How do deal listings work?

Members list used sim racing gear with photos, a price and a link or contact route. You browse, filter and then arrange everything directly with the seller.

How many listings can I have?

Three active listings per member right now. The counter at the top of the deals page and the submission form shows how many you have left. Higher caps are planned for future paid accounts.

Do listings expire?

Listings run for 30 days. You get email and in-app reminders as the date approaches and can extend from your dashboard, which resets the countdown. Paid memberships will get a longer 60-day window once they launch.

Does the site handle payments?

No. We do not process payments, hold funds or ship items for deal listings. Every transaction happens between buyer and seller, so meet safely and verify gear before you pay.

What happens to the ZIP code I enter on a listing?

Location is optional. If you add a ZIP, other members only ever see a general area label such as "North Atlanta Area" — never your exact ZIP or address. The precise value stays staff-only and powers distance filters.

How do I add my rig?

Use My rig from your profile. Add your wheelbase, wheel, pedals, cockpit and displays, plus notes on custom parts and your approximate build cost.

How many photos can I upload for my rig?

Accepted Answer

Up to three, each under 5 MB and image files only. The guided slots ask for a full rig shot, a cockpit view and a detail shot. Keep people, license plates and personal details out of frame.

How does a rig get Featured by Go Gear Drives?

Features are chosen by the channel at its own discretion from rigs posted here. If yours is picked, the video is embedded on your rig page with an As seen on Go Gear Drives badge.

Who posts the guides and videos in Learn?

Learn is curated by staff, so members cannot publish there. You can still search and filter by type and skill level to find what fits you.

What do helpful votes, comments and bookmarks do?

Helpful and not helpful votes tell us which content is landing. Comments let you ask follow-up questions, and bookmarks collect items in the Saved from Learn card on your profile.

What is field of view and why does it matter?

FOV is how wide the in-game camera sees. Matching it to your screen size and seating distance makes speed, braking points and car placement feel accurate instead of guessed.

How are the numbers calculated?

From your display size, aspect ratio, number of screens and eye-to-screen distance, using standard geometry, then converted into the value each simulator expects. Treat it as an accurate starting point and adjust to taste.

Can I save my FOV settings?

Yes. Signed-in members can save profiles, attach them to a rig so visitors see the numbers on the rig page, and share a read-only link.

How do I earn Garage Points?

By taking part: posting builds, rigs and listings, commenting, rating, and having your content marked helpful by other members. Points accumulate on your dashboard.

What are driver levels?

Levels are point milestones that track how far you have come in the community. Your dashboard shows your current level and progress toward the next one.

How do badges work, including the Go Gear ones?

Badges are awarded automatically for specific milestones — the badge guide on your dashboard spells out each one. The Go Gear tiers come from approved builds: Go Gear Builder at one, Go Gear Technician at five and Go Gear Legend at ten.

What is public on my account and what stays private?

Your display name and anything you post is public. Your email, password, exact location and account settings are never shown to other members, and profile fields have their own visibility toggles.

Can I control notifications and emails?

Yes. Notification preferences on your profile control which activity alerts you receive. Service emails such as listing expiry warnings and security notices are kept to the minimum needed to run your account.

How do I change or reset my password?

Use Privacy and security on your profile to change it, or request a reset link if you cannot sign in. We email you whenever your password changes so you can react if it was not you.

How do I report a post or a member?

Every build, rig, listing and comment has a report action. Reports go to the moderation queue with the context we need to review them.

Can I delete my content or my account?

Yes. Account management on your profile lets you remove individual posts or delete your account and its content. Deletion is permanent.

Is there a language filter?

Yes. Names, titles, descriptions and comments run through a profanity and inappropriate-language filter. Blocked text is rejected as you submit so you can rewrite it.

What are the upload limits?

Images only, up to 5 MB each. Do not upload photos you do not own the rights to, and keep faces, plates and documents out of frame.
